Gavin Sorby, MD of Buttress Fuller Alsop Williams has completed the challenge to climb Kilimanjaro, raising money for charity Scope.
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and considered the highest free standing mountain in the world; the Uhuru Peak rises to an altitude of 4,600m from base to summit, with an overall height of 5895m.
Gavin`s current fundraising total is £3200 which goes to Scope to support their work with disabled people and their families. Donations can still be made though the just giving site
Speaking of his trip Gavin said ‘It’s fantastic to do something that takes you out of your comfort zone and raises some money for a good cause too. I would recommend it to anybody as an experience’.
