Manor House Library opens - 20/06/2009

The Manor House Library in Lewisham, London has reopened to the public after being closed for restoration and adaptation for over a year.

The grade II* listed building has had one wing rebuilt; internally access has been addressed by the insertion of a glazed lift into the heart of the building; and the once gaudily painted interior has been restored to a sensitive and high quality finish.

Upper floors of the building are now accessible to the public, and the library service and council have extra meeting and event spaces, utilising this beautiful building much more effectively.
